I propose to introduce legislation making Veteran’s Day a true national holiday by having the day observed by government offices as well as the financial markets.  And I also propose to find budgetary means to increase:

• Death benefits
• Disability benefits
• Healthcare – mental and physical
• Drug and alcohol treatment centers
• Reform of the GI bill
• Allowances for meal and travel expenses
